Frederick County’s newest Middle School was designed from the students perspective, to foster their academic, physical and social development. The three level building has a masonry façade and lots of windows to provide day-lighting, which is conducive to enhanced learning. Read More

Branch was selected to serve as the Construction Manager on this dynamic apartment project via a competitive bid/qualifications-based procurement process. The contract was awarded following multiple preconstruction value analysis sessions that resulted in an end product that met the owner’s budgetary, density and quality requirements. Read More

Branch spearheaded the widening of US 17 through Martin and Beaufort Counties. The $86 million project is vital to the tourism and economic development of northeastern North Carolina.
During the Civil War, this site was home to an earthwork fortification called Fort Buffalo that was used to defend Washington, D.C.
Now, it’s home to the new Fort Buffalo Fire Station in Falls Church, Virginia.
We are proud to have worked on this important project and we hope that Fort Buffalo continues to protect and serve the community.

The Associated Builders and Contractors recently reported that the US construction industry unemployment rate averaged 4.6%, matching the second lowest level on record! Job openings in the construction industry remained historically elevated at an average of 377,000 per month through 2023.

Branch employee-owners are doing the heavy lifting on the Route 311 Connector Road project in Danville, Virginia.
Recently, Branch moved five culverts into place. Each culvert weighs up to 75,000 pounds!
When completed, the project will widen 2.3 miles of existing road from two lanes to four lanes. It will expedite travel between US 58/59 and the Southern Mega Site at Berry Hill.
Branch was recognized by the Virginia ASLA for its design on the Quillen Spirit Plaza on the @virginia.tech in Blacksburg, Virginia!
The design infused elements that celebrated the spirit of Hokie Nation, fostered social interaction, and collaboration. Hokie Nation brand elements were emphasized throughout the plaza and included the building of stadium seat walls, incorporated new accessible pathways, seating, a sloped lawn, landscaping beds, outdoor seating, and tables. A HokieBird statue was added for photo opportunities.

Branch is working to improve US 1, I-95, and Southpoint Pkwy in Spotsylvania, Virginia. This project includes widening of I-95 exit ramp, US 1, and Southpoint Pkwy to alleviate congestion within the corridor.

Branch employee-owners GIVE where they LIVE. Our own Austin Facteau participated in the annual Heavy Construction Contractors Association (HCCA) Community Service Project in Prince William County, Virginia.
Austin worked alongside other contractors to revitalize the Dale City Rec Center. Branch donated the concrete and the crews that formed, poured, and stripped the concrete access pads. Austin and our Branch employee-owners helped to build better access to the ball fields and a set of bleachers for families to cheer their players on!

Good morning ☀️ from our Aldie Fire Station #7 project team in Aldie, VA!
This month, Branch Gives helped to feed the hungry at the @roanokerescuemission. The team of employee-owners volunteered their precious time at the Manna Food Pantry.
The Manna Food Pantry is a weekly grocery box distribution program that serves struggling and hungry families in the Roanoke Valley.
Each food box contains approximately 60 pounds of food including non-perishable food staples, fresh produce, and frozen meats.

We were excited to see the students and teachers enjoying the newly renovated Lancaster County Middle School!
Working with the community to meet their needs, Branch added a new and welcoming main entrance, an administrative suite, and new classrooms. Branch teams also reconfigured the space, made important ADA upgrades, added LED lighting, and installed fire alarms and sprinklers.
Branch welcomed business partners, community leaders, and friends at an open house at our new Richmond office earlier this month.
The new office, overlooking Lake Rooty, features a modern and inspired workspace that spurs collaboration, communication, and big thinking. The space reflects Branch’s commitment to giving our employee-owners the tools they need to unleash their full potential, drive innovation, and achieve success.
The joint design-build project with Shirley Contracting converts three existing east and westbound lanes into one Express Lane in each direction and creates one part-time Express Lane and two general-purpose lanes in each direction.
Branch crews are repaving the existing lanes, replacing two eastbound bridges over the Hampton River, and widening and rehabilitating the westbound bridge over the river.
