The Branch Group, one of the largest construction companies in Virginia, is relocating and expanding into a new corporate headquarters building in Roanoke, Virginia. The company has purchased a 58,000+ square foot building on Peters Creek Road in Roanoke to expand and consolidate its three current office locations. New signage announcing the company’s future home was unveiled last Friday.
“We saw the purchase of the former Kroger Regional headquarters as a great opportunity to grow and expand while maintaining our commitment to Roanoke and Southwest Virginia,” said Donald Graul, Branch Group CEO. “Even though we are expanding our presence throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, a vast majority of our 800 employees live and work in the Roanoke region, and this provides us an opportunity to further collaborate on critical projects for our customers.”
The transaction was handled by Waldvogel Commercial Properties, Inc. (Steve Zegarski and Jason Fountain), Newmark, and S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. (Fenton Childers). Branch will begin immediate renovations to the facility and plans to take occupancy in early 2022. The company will incorporate its rich history and its employee-owners’ input into the new design.
