WAKE TECH OFFSITE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

Branch was awarded two projects on the site of Wake Tech’s newest campus in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) near Morrisville, NC.

Branch, in partnership with contractors Clancey & Theys and Holt Brothers, began off-site roadway improvements in May 2016 for Wake Tech, North Carolina’s largest community college system. Offsite work consisted of widening Highway 54 and Watkins Road, which involved clearing more than four acres of land, 5,000 cubic yards of excavation, laying more than 2,000 linear feet of storm pipe, and installing multiple waterlines and fire hydrants.

Because of larger than anticipated amount of rock on the site, Branch brought machinery on-site to crush the rock and use it as fill throughout the work zone.
