AEMP is pleased to announce that Robert Kesselring from Branch Civil Inc., has won the 2022 AEMP Technician of the Year Award.
The Technician of the Year Award is presented each year to recognize one outstanding individual who stands out as the heavy equipment profession’s best technician.
“Robert is our rapid response technician,” said Chris Caldwell, Superintendent at Branch Civil Inc. “We have a lot of great employees here, but Robert stands out. He has a technical background in automotive and equipment. When no one else can fix something, we call in Robert.”
The Technician of the Year Award has been presented each year since 1989 to “the individual who exemplifies the heavy equipment profession’s best technician.”
The award promotes two goals:

Bring awareness to the critical issue of the crippling technician shortage found across the entire industry.
The award seeks candidates who constantly update their education, demonstrate a strong safety record, improve fleet operations and are always professional. A judging panel of equipment managers reviews applications and selects from a group of blinded entries and announces the winner at the EquipmentSHIFT Conference.
